We continuously invest in improving our products and services. We do this by talking to the people who work in the sector every day. In this way we experience the challenges and critical issues and we try to find the right solution.

We have some topics that we would like to share with you in our topics in the picture.

Gut health

Animals with a healthy gut will perform better. They can metabolize the energy provided via the feed to meat and don’t lose energy in handling intestinal disturbances.

If the gut health is undermined by malnutrition, bacteria or toxic compounds, the animals will try to restore the optimal condition through an immune response, which requires energy and nutrients. This defense mechanism competes with the animal´s nutrient demand for maintenance and growth.

How can we improve the gut health of our animals?

Microbiome balance

The microbiome is defined as the whole of the cells of the intestinal mucosa (cells for absorption, secretion, and defense), the intestinal mucus and the bacteria contained in this mucus. The diversity of these bacteria is immensely important because they are crucial for feed conversion.

With the correct adjustment of the inner and outer balance, you can give your stock the best chance for a successful production cycle, and thus ensure the economic efficiency of your business.

Heat stress

Heat has a major impact on the animals in intensive livestock farming in the form of heat stress.

Heat stress occurs when an animal is no longer able to control its body temperature due to high temperatures and humidity. This has consequences for the health of the animals. They become slow, eat less and their defenses decrease. Animals with heat stress can get sick and eventually die.

Heat stress costs a lot of money for intensive livestock farming in the form of increased costs due to illness and reduced yields due to lower productivity. It is therefore important to give the animals extra support with specific additives, such as essential oils as Kenovit E, in moments of higher temperatures.
