The pig production is an industry on wheels and therefore it’s of vital importance that all outgoing and incoming traffic (new stock, manure, feed, slaughterhouse, visitors...) are being disinfected without exception. A truck sprinkler installation is ideal but at farm level it’s of course just as efficient to have someone disinfecting the truck manually with a Virocid® solution of 0.5 per cent.

After the collection of the cadavers, it is advisable to thoroughly clean and disinfect the cadaver storage room. You should also always wear gloves for your own hygiene and safety during the manipulation of dead pigs.
